Solution:
This project required large material handling equipment, including a 15,500 lb. fork lift from CH Coakley Warehouse, flatbed trailers and tractors from CH Coakley Commercial Moving and expertise and access to a crane from CH Coakley 3PL. Deliveries had to be made on time, as access to construction site was very limited and multiple deliveries coming from many contractors to this huge construction project.
Results:
The equipment started coming into the CH Coakley Warehouse in June of 2015 from several points throughout the United States, Canada and China. This product was very heavy and most was over sized, including sixteen 40 foot long escalator sections. CH Coakley began making deliveries from the warehouse to the Northwestern Mutual construction site. The large escalator sections had to be delivered on weekends because it was the only time that the large construction tower crane was not being used for other construction trades.
Having an experienced staff, strategic planning, and access to in-house equipment is why this complex project ran smoothly and completed on time.
